Medical Mission Trips
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain
Each year, MML members embark on a medical mission trip. Our first trip was during the summer of 2007 when four members of MML traveled to Sri Lanka to volunteer for a month in a teaching hospital. Since then, MML has made it a goal to plan and coordinate an international medical mission trip each summer. Volunteering abroad provides an invaluable opportunity for pre-medical students to immerse themselves in a foreign culture, utilize medical skills, learn about healthcare systems in developing nations, and help those in need. MML also strives to raise funds in order to purchase and donate much-needed medical supplies to the hospitals and clinics that we work with.
